I’d like to take a moment to give thanks. Not for my life or any of that good stuff but, for the Ravens 3-0 start. Some may say they barely escaped Cleveland, however, I will note that; 1) divisional games are only dominated by one team in sucky divisions. 2) in the process of winning they escaped the trap game. 3) In the pre-McNair era if they were down going into the fourth quarter and had to rely on the offense to win I would have hung it up. So in honor of the good start to the season and league leading defense I give you the Fans Prayer from the Book of Amadeo, Ravens 10; 3-0.
Steve McNair in the pocket,
hallowed be your arm,
When Ogden protect,
Heaps will be done,
with Ray in the opponents backfield.
Give us today our daily turnover.
Forgive us our interceptions
as we score on those we intercept.
Save us from division rivals
and deliver us to the playoffs .
For Suggs, McCalister and Reed are ours
For the duration of their contracts.
Touchdown.
May Ray Bless all of your Quarterbacks.
May Ray Bless all of your Quarterbacks.
Yeah and hopefully take pity on club goers next time you come thru the ATL :/
That sir, is blasphemy!

wow–football season transforms your blog.
ever see Monty Python’s “holy grail”? There’s a point in there where they begin reading from Holy Scriptures. Just had a flashback. Anyway, clever post.
Football season changes me…

True, the Ravens beat up on the Falcons - The ATL fans still living in denial need to review the tapes. The Raven defense IS JUST THAT GOOD - or at least they were on Monday night. I usually root for the Dirty Birds, but the conspiracy theorists down here just sound stupid right about now. Have you heard the political claims? The voodoo claims? The sentimentally thrown game claims? Hogwash! What were the offensive coaches thinking by not adjusting their game plan to find a way to get Vick mobile and to keep him safe?
I’m happy for Ray-Ray!

ray is good but that a. thomas cat is better. i would know cuz i’ve got him on the fantasy squad.
and um…the ravens haven’t played the falcons this year yet so jali…check the tapes to make sure you know who they actually played.
falcons vs. b’more on 11/19. i’ll be pulling for the falcons of course cuz i’m atl, but i won’t be too upset if baltimore wins, only cuz i’ll pull for mcnair til that cat retires.

I feel the same way about the Bears. They’ve had a kick ass start the season. Damn, I wish I had gotten tickets to one of their games. WHO THE HELL KNEW ?!!
