Left not Lost

Get me Negroes...NOW!!!!!

“The enemy is anybody who’s going to get you killed, no matter which side he’s on.”
Joseph Heller (1923 - )

I’m pissed party people. So my man Dally (Outsiders) put me on with Bossip.com and how What About Our Daughters has their knickers in a twist cause of post they did - They also pulled the punk ass move of working to get one of their sponsors pulled. Basically the post was about Maya Angelou coming out for Hillary Clinton and it’s filed under their category “Ho Sit Down”. Frankly, I always hear about respecting elders and while I believe in it, I operate like this: respect is earned. Our elders (on the whole) haven’t done anything to earn it. For real…all these civil rights “heroes” that come out for Hillary can get a Ho Sit Down. It’s worse than Stanley Crouch (he look like Uncle Ruckus) dissing Hip-Hop like his favorite Jazz Musician was never on drugs…whoa!!!! I better not name him…he’s old…it would be wrong. Maaaaaan, fuck that. Half of these cats spend their time lauding the thougthts of those like them, or bashing, basically, their children and grandchildren. When the real truth is they played a bigger hand in the illness plauging the youth then they will ever admit. I wish I could formally call all of them out. Then on the other side of the Obama issue are all these people that want him to be some big black crusader…yeah let’s make white America even more uncomfortable. I already read and come across such nonsense from white people in regards to him when he hasn’t made race an issue. I actually witnessed someone comment that they didn’t want February to have 31 days!!!! Still, a bunch of us would have Barack dressed like a Black Panther, promising reparations and smacking Hillary with a copy of the Final Call. Some of ya’ll would still say it ain’t enough. Mind you none of ya’ll go to work like that…even when you work with a majority of black people. All ya’ll Hoes sit down. While stories of merit go unnoticed, people still keep harping on the same nonsense talking points. Frankly I give a Ho Sit Down to elders of every color when I hear, “He doesn’t have enought experience”. SIT DOWN, Baby Boomers have been fucking everyone from my generation on for long enough. Thanks guys, enjoy social security cause I won’t get to. Oh you wanna run things for another 4 years? Sure why not. See if you can’t screw me out of getting into the AARP one day. When you compare Obama (experience wise) to former presidents he tends to line up with Clinton and Kennedy - I heard one person qualify this by saying “Kennedy was tested in the military”. A bunch of ya’ll have relatives that were in the service who you wouldn’t ask to hold a carton of eggs…please. The most incredulous thing of all is this…what has Hillary done to get all these old black folks behind her. Is it cause of what Toni Morrison said about her husband? I’ve got a Ho Sit Down for her based on that as well. He gets to be black while Obama has to try and prove he is? Ya’ll might as well get on some Alan Keyes vibe and move around to try and run against him…that’s right, dude moved from Maryland to Illinois just to run against Obama. What the hell is all of this about? Is it fear? Are we so scared that a black person might really do something that we can oppose that alot of us will do anything to stop him? The “old guard” shouldn’t stand up. It’s obvious to me that most of you sat down a long time ago. Look at my generation, I’m scared to even mention the ones after me. It’s not some random bad luck accident that things are as they are. Children are a responsibility. You don’t lose them, they aren’t car keys. You leave them. Thanks for leaving us behind, but do us a favor will ya? Now that one of us, not of your generation, is trying to do something. Keep the status quo and leave us alone. Sit down hoes. You had your shot and look what it has reaped. Look at the madness that goes on in the streets. It’s been going since before Bill was in office. Is his wife going to clean all of that up? I don’t think Barack is our Savior either, but I don’t dis him just because. Honestly, any civil rights activist coming out for Hillary and not citing a specific issue that she address and he doesn’t is basically just spitting on Obama. Even Caroline Kennedy who hasn’t supported anyone came out for him. Her uncle came out after the Clintons wouldn’t stop throwing dirt on Barack. All these old school negroes want to come out for Hillary though. Notice that? Oprah who has never gotten into political situations came out for him. Why is the generation who “fought” so hard for us, at a moment when a brother is poised to take the highest seat of power in the land saying…”nah, give it to the white girl.” The most bothersome aspect of all of this is their support is only good to down Obama. If it was Hillary and Edwards would people really care who Maya Angelou was for? Did anyone ask which Civil Rights activists were supporting John Kerry? It kills me, and this is from an honest perspective, that I’m seeing someone shape-up in a way politicians never do and he’s taking it on the chin. He’s standing tall and sticking with his message and people are trying to pull anything they can out of their ass to throw at him. Honestly, I don’t ever recall people having to go back and find things you did (or wrote) before you even got to middle school. It’s one thing when people say vote for (insert name here) and the terrorists win…that’s old. But with Obama they basically tried to paint him like Osama bin Laden, like he was some secret spy come to takeover from the inside. I thought the whole swiftboat thing was bad last time around, but I truly believe Obama has gotten the worst anyone has gotten in the last few decades…and they still can’t get rid of him. The more I actually rationally look at and research people, the better he looks. Maya mentioned supporting Hillary cause she’s a mother. In a time of broken homes Barack is a father. So now what? Why do we seem to be fighting him so hard? Why is it yesterday that’s fighting him so hard. Next time you say Barack hasn’t come out for Black issues…show me all of Hillarys Jena 6 quotes. Sit down.

  1. standing and applauding.

People I know have grilled me since they’ve learned I’m supporting Obama. The same people had NO questions when I supported any other candidate. None - Zero.

Thank you for this VERY IMPORTANT post. I’ll be sending others here to read for themselves.

  2. agreed. obama is running a nice campaign i find a lot of the critisisms uncalled for an idiotic. no black panther wasnt going to get this far, hell even our own black folks wouldnt have voted for a black panther, they would complain he’s too militant and scares the white folks.

  3. they didn’t need to call her a ho.
However, I am glad somebody finally called her on her celebrity. What, really, did she do in the civil rights movement? I’m appreciative of the fact she was there; knew lots of people who got some stuff done; wrote some great memoirs; was active in theater–but you know what, there’s some seniors down at the community center who are just as awesome–they don’t get on tv and nobody gives a fart about who they would endorse for democratic candidate.
    Whatever.

  4. Geez brah… as usual I come away shaking my head from the realness of your post. Obama is working it right about now and the good thing about it is, the ears of both Democrats and Republicans are responding. As for Hillz, well the name calling is reminiscent of how neolithic some people out there can still be. Especially when it comes to politics. It’ll always be like that unfortunately. So uncalled for.

  5. I love how no one is able to contextualize the word ‘ho’. As in prostituting one’s legacy for no good reason. Not too many Black folks want to realize that the first Black president also presided over the greatest number of African Anericans being incarcerated in the the country’s history. Hmmmmm.

I wonder if Maya Angelou realizes that the caged bird sings out the Clinton’s names?

    Ho Sit Down indeed.

  6. I know it’s becoming a theme, but I’m late as usual. You, however, are RIGHT ON TIME with this post. I am utterly dumbfounded as to how so many prominent black folks are backing a couple who have littered the streets with shit in an effort to get Obama to step in it…even as he masterfully dodges it. I could understand them protesting Jesse Sharpton (yeah…that was intentional, cuz they sum up to about the same amount of worth…zilch), but they are shitting on a candidate who, as of this response to your post, has been clean as a whistle, and about the business of uplifting his people. SMDH head. HOES SIT DOWN!!!
