What goes on.
I was going to write an entirely different post today. Then one of my old clients came in, she had a baby earlier this month, to ask about child support. I was going to run down my usual schtick…til she mentioned the father had been killed the same week the baby was born. She was calling and wondering why he hadn’t called back…then finds out he was killed (shot by a police officer). That is rough. Now…I don’t even have much to say. How do you respond to the cycle of life taking immediate effect? I’m not even as bothered by the fact that a cop just asked my what my business was as I stood in front of my job. Even though that is a bitch…I have a good example of someone having bigger things to deal with.
That one is tough. The policeman that shot the child’s father is claiming two lives if that child doesn’t escape the cycle of violence. I feel for both mother and the child.

Man…it’s a reality like that that enables you to really appreciate both your blessings and the “struggles” that you bitch about. My prayers go out to that mother and her child.
